Lists with This Book. As such, I am not sure that it was the best book for me to start with.
There was a nugget of a good story overwhelmed by descriptive, emotional writing that was kagen distracting for my taste. I just factor that my starting expectations were low. When does a convicted serial killer become a romantic lead?
The biggest the last victim karen robards that bothered me, though was the fact that the main character, who has had an emotionally scarring encounter with a serial killer in her teens, and is supposed to be a clinical psychologist on top of it, falls in love with the ghost of a serial killer.

Before leaving the prison, one of her study participants is shanked and dies while she attempts to save him. But when the focus shifted to the ghost, lasr story became bogged down with the character’s endless internal dialogue regarding her conflicted feelings.
The serial killer that Charlie escaped, back when she was a teenager, seems to be back. Any agent who acted out in that fashion with professionals that the Bureau needed wouldn’t BE an agent very long.

What you have here is a criminal psychiatrist falling in love with the ghost of known serial killer. It fit seamlessly with the story and really added a lot of flavor to laxt book. I loved Agent Dreamy and his team. The biggest thing here, which I mentioned above, is that I felt that the main romance story line overshadowed the robarsd storyline at times. The mystery kept me the last victim karen robards the pages and the characters kept me needing to know more.
